Posts: 5 (08/05/05 12:27:27) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None Alright...I've got this conversion thing down pat...I've converted about 100-200 albums from mp3 to wma just by selecting folders and right clicking on Acoustica...so far so good...right? Wrong! After conversion completes I'm thinking...oh..it'll be great to burn a WMA CD and play all my new music in the car...so I get into the car...pop in my newly created CD...and....SILENCE. Now, I have about 3000 albums on my computer all in WMA format..why...well cuz I can make em really small files..you know...it's the little things, but only 100-200 of them have been converted with Acoustica. All 2,800 of my albums converted with Media Player play in the car...but nooooo...not Acoustica converted files. I've converted these at 96 kbps...now what i need to know is why they don't play...someone told me it had something to do with whether they are VBR or CBR...what the hell is this? I'm guessing it's got something to do with my conversion settings...although very few. And I know it's the files, because I've tried three types of blank CDs and three types of burning softwares...and...in the car...SILENCE. This is particulary frustrating, because I'm a techy and for 10 years I haven't run into a computer related problem that I couldn't solve...until now....damn you ACOUSTICA! Please help... Dier Straights. p.s. and for all of you out there trying to crack WMA protected files...don't bother...there's nothing out there that can...or that will...Microsoft is way ahead of the game on this. Take it from someone who's not only tried everything from unfuck.exe to re-burning CDs, but who has had WMAs since their inception.

Check and see what your player supports. Also check things like the filename length and the number of songs that are allowed in a folder. Greg

Nah...but fa real...yes...my car radio plays MP3s & WMAs. Cool!

Only setback is that I can fit more albums on a CD if I could find a way to convert these albums to WMA. Capiche....
