Where is the volume control component?

When I go to check recording levels I get a message that says: There was a problem launching Windows mixer. Go to Add/Remove in control panel to Add the Volume control component" but when I go to add remove I don't see anything like this or know how to do it.

two microphones thru a midi can't record in mono

We have a radioshow on an AM station and there are two hosts. We have two microphones hooked to a Tascam midi device. We can get both mikes to appear hot in stereo mode but when played back at radio station only one microphone was hot. We were told to record in Mono, but it does not appear to pick up the sound out of both microphones in the Acoustica software. What settings should we use, and how should we configure the software...

Recording in one speaker only

My problem is that Acoustica Audio Mixer isn't working with my new toy:

For some reason, everything that I record with Audio mixer goes to one speaker, regardless of the Pan setting or Windows Mixer settings.

However, if I use Window's Sound Recorder to record using my new toy, and then import the sound...

Skipping

Hi, if I try to skip around while the song is playing, it freezes for about 5 seconds every time I do it. Also, when I try to stop the playback of a song, it also freezes. It is getting very irritating because I've tried switching the buffer size, the playback device, the temporary folders (and deleting their contents), closing all other programs, etc. I've had this program for a few months now and it's worked perfectly fine up until yesterday. I don't know what is going on. Please help!

Twingy, ringy sound to imported mp3s

I've had good success with this program -- but also this problem a few previous times. Don't know why it's happening.

1) I'm importing one MP3 file into a soundgroup

2) When I play it -- it has a twingy, ringy (almost hollow) sound to it. Note: The original file does not sound like that when played with other "players."

Ideas?

Can i strip the vocals from an mp3?

Ok I have a huge problem. I had it working fine on my old comp. On my new one when I start dubbing the guitars over the drums, it seems very very slightly out of sync, which of course messes it up if you try to dub again... any help?

Overdubbing problem

When I overdub a new track while existing track plays on the background, I get a track that's a mix of the two tracks, and not just of the instrument I wanted to record. And the sound quality is awful. I don't record with a mircrophone so leakage via the microphone is not the problem. How do I fix this?

I really love this program, beacuse it's so light, but does what I need it for. I've been adding some soft background music to some mp3 audiobooks, and it's fairly easy with this app.

Now there's a few things that would make it even simpler for me to use:

1. Posibility to set the 'Album' in the id3 tag, when saving to mp3.

2. Be able to zoom completley out to view the entire project. The files I'm working with are often many hours long, so it would be nice to see...

when to overdub sounds cant be played parralel

When I try to overdub, the newly recorded sound fastens a bit about every 30 seconds. So when the two sounds are played, after 30 seconds the sounds aren't played parallel anymore. Is this a common problem, and is there a way to solve this?

After a couple of days of listening to some saved mixes i did on the mp3 mixer i listen to them today and they are GONE :"> It is actually the vocals that have disapeared on track 3 of all the files but the instrumentals are still there! (remixes).

Can anyone please help explain how to fix this and what exactly happened? I know for a fact everything was saved as...

If I use mp3AM to record voice tracks, like for a commercial, I record a line at a time in order to mix them correctly, then save to mp3. After about the 3rd or 4th delete and rerecord, the program crashes.
Any clues?

Hi! I am having problems with my acoustica audio mixer. In the first two days I used it, it was working perfectly until one day, everytime I add files, the sound becomes noisy, it has sudden burst and the audio sounds robotic. I really need to work this out soon because I have a project that needs to be done. I downloaded all the support etc. but still nothing happened. Napster Compatiblity

Would it be possible to add support for Napster files? Everytime I download these stupid files and try to put them into Audio Mixer - it doesn't recognize them. So I end up having to convert them using a program that records any sound that plays on my computer. A real pain because I have to sit there and listen to each song the whole way through to get them converted!

I just started using the Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer because I want to make a long mix for a party. I'm not sure how long the software will allow the exported mp3 to be. Does anyone know? If it's less than the five hours I need, I can break it into shorter segments.

Anyway, I'm in the process of collecting songs while I'm making the mix. Since I'm doing some research to find the songs, I don't have time to wait until I have them all before I start mixing. Currently, I have 28 songs...

im new to this site, and I was wondering if its possible to take the vocals out of a song, and mix it with a different beat?

As in, if I were to take 2Pacs Changes beat, and mix it with the vocals of 50 Cents many men (without the beat)?

I love this program and want to stay with it very much, but I dont want to wait for a newer version.
