I have just downloaded SIA and when running the Sound Wizard Check it says that my sound is distorted. I checked the LINE-IN Volume and it was at 100%. I lowered it to about 25% and hit EXIT. It took but always goes back to 100%. How do I get it to stay lower?? I do not see an OK or APPLY as an option. BTW this is in the Windows Volume Control Dialog Window (WIN XP SP2). Please see my response to your email answer you sent at about 4:00 PM.--I am a new registered user and having trouble. Recorded one LP and the software will not work again after shutdown of system. Will play voice assistant, will not set audio level(does not hear LP) will not record. I have redownloaded and reinstalled software--won't work. I am very eager to try out your software. I have a large collection of tapes I am going to convert.

I don't currently have a cassette deck. Should I go and find a "Really Good One" or does your software do such a good job that it isn't really necessary?

The recordings are mixed tapes of record playings (Reggae) if it matters!

Any ideas what is causing this behaviour, because the trial looks to be a good programme and I thinking of purchasing. I have many old cassettes to convert to MP3.

It's Realtek HD Audio built-in to my Asus motherboard. With other software I can set the rate and bits as high as I want.

Any idea how to get this software to let me pick a reasonable setting?

I have seen that the new version of SIA is version 10(from the beta page), so I went to the downloads page and download SIA (without being able to know what version it was), I install it and realise that it was still beta 9???

My question is : How can we know what version of SIA we are downloading from the downloads page?

I'm buying "Spin It Again" as a Christmas present for my father in-law.

But to actually make it look like a present, I'd like to burn a copy of the software onto CD and put it into a CD case with a cover.

Do you have a cover I could print out to make it look like I've actually purchased something?

See if you can make SIA capable of creating a list of previously recorded individual tracks for noise cleaning and burning. Lots of folks may want to make a "favorites" CD of their favorite songs from several albums.
